Barcelona has now entered my list of “Favorite cities” due to its attractive weather in summer, wild nightlife, excellent food, great architecture, an adequate place for the young to live a memorable experience.

The W hotel seen from many angles keeping all its charm.

The W hotel in Barcelona has an outstanding shape, emplacement, view, as well as great food. Certain rooms offer a magnificent sight on the beach, which is why I especially recommend booking on the 10th floor at least. This scenery is also accessible from the pool area, which at night becomes a great place to have a drink and spend an enjoyable evening outdoors. After having your drink, the W treats its guests as VIPs and welcomes them to Eclipse, their exclusive nightclub that is also among the most famous in Barcelona. However, I was expecting the service to be up to the hotel’s reputation.

One of Gaudi’s extraordinary buildings.

Barcelona is partly known for her architectures that mostly emerge from Gaudi’s savoir and wild imagination. This great architect gave his city and tourists beautiful places to visit, of which is the Sagrada Familia that is still under construction, and Park Guell to name a few. Gaudi’s great architecture will amaze you, charm you, and keep you marveling at man’s creative genius.

There is also Mount Tibidabo that merits a visit while in Barcelona. This place offers a romantic view of the city so it is best to stopover at night, unless you want to enjoy the city’s oldest amusement park, founded at Mount Tibidabo100 years ago.

Not to forget the Barceloneta, one of my favorite places in Barcelona. It consists of a long alley by the sea where yummy restaurants take place (CDLC, Shoko) and reputed nightclubs , Ice Bar and Opium Mar. The Barceloneta is also the perfect place to watch the sunset and ride bicycles as well as roller blades until around 8 PM (the sun sets late in Barcelona) and then have dinner like Barcelonans do at 10PM.

We have now come to my favorite part. Shopping. The shopping in Barcelona is mainly focused on Passeig de Gracia and its surroundings. The designers brands’ stores are to be found on this huge alleyway; Chanel, Gucci, Zegna, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Philip Plein, Dolce and Gabbana, Zadig et Voltaire. In its surroundings are Sandro, Brandy Melville, Sephora, Havaianas and many others. To enjoy the shopping spree, it is preferable to wait until 5PM when the temperature gets cooler.

Finally, I would love to share with you my unforgettable experience with Da Greco restaurant. It is so far the best italian restaurant I have ever eaten in. They encourage you to taste things you wouldn’t usually be attracted to by getting small portions of many meals. The fresh and delicious taste of the sustenance unconditionally seduces your palette , whether it is a meal you usually like or not. The restaurant’s decoration makes you feel comfortable and romantic with its yellow-ish lights and antique ornaments. Da Greco is a must try in Barcelona so make sure you have reservations!
